There is something special about Devon in Autumn. It is the perfect time to make the most of the changing landscape of the South Devon coast. Enjoy coastal or country walks and drink in the views as the leaves turn a golden brown – set against the backdrop of the odd thundery sky or raging sea.

On the (very) odd occasion that the weather might not be so kind, you can always head to either Exeter or Plymouth, which are only a short drive away. If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy then these two vibrant cities are perfect! With Exeter’s Princess Hay shopping centre – as well as its beautiful traditional city centre – and Plymouth’s Drake Circus shopping centre there’s nothing you won’t find here. Exeter itself is a beautiful city, with a magnificent cathedral at its heart.
