Whenever you choose to visit, a short break at our park is great way of getting away from it all, while still packing in lots of sightseeing and adventures! But, what can you fit into a 3 or 4 night break at Brixham Holiday Park? To help inspire you, we’ve put together a handy guide to 72 hours at our park to give you a flavour of just how great short breaks in South Devon can really be!

Day 1

10am: Start your holiday by exploring nearby Brixham, which is just a 10-minute walk from our holiday park. Brixham is a popular fishing port and the industry is at the heart of the community here. Once you’ve explored this picturesque town why not grab a coffee or a bite to eat in one of the many cafes?
Brixham has several beaches - all close to our holiday park1pm: Fishcombe Cove is quiet little beach just 150 yards from our park, proving you don’t have to venture far to have fun! This dog-friendly beach is a combination of both sand and shingle and is safe for a swim. There are also toilets, a café and deckchair/sunbed hire available during the season.
4pm: After you’ve washed away the sand from inbetween your toes, why not head over to the beautiful harbour town of Dartmouth? Just 8 miles from our park, this pretty port is well worth a visit, with its magical Elizabethan streets to explore, which are packed with independent shops, art galleries restaurants, bars and bistros – a great place for an evening meal.


Day 2

9am: Lace up those walking boots and get ready to explore the coast! Start the day early and get ready to walk the South West Coast Path, which you can pick up from right outside our park entrance. Discover beautiful Berry Head Nature Reserve, which is only a short walk away…
Prepare to get wet at Splashdown Waterpark3pm: After your bracing walk along the coast it’s time to take in one of the region’s family attractions. Head to Splashdown Waterpark at Goodrington for some non-stop fun or why not venture over to Cockington Village? This idyllic village is hidden in a deep valley just a mile outside Torquay and is well worth a visit.
7pm: After a tough day exploring why not spend the evening on-site? Our clubhouse has a range of classic food options available and we also offer occasional live entertainment during the peak summer months. So, sit back relax and enjoy great food and entertainment without having to leave the confines of our park!


Day 3

10am: Just a short distance up the coast are the popular resorts of Torquay and Paignton. There is simply so much to see and do here! Not only are the towns themselves packed full of shops and amenities but the both boast beautiful beaches and a range of great attractions, including Paignton Zoo and Living Coasts Aquarium!
The region comes to life at Torbay Carnival2pm: South Devon has a bustling events calendar, with a wide and varied range of things taking place throughout the season. Why not spend the afternoon sampling one of these events? From Brix Fest music festival and the Brixham Pirate Festival in the Spring to the Brixham Trawler Race and Torbay Carnival in the summer, there’s so much to see and do!
7pm: As it’s your last evening why not take a quiet walk down to Brixham Harbour and watch the sunset against the backdrop of the yachts slowly bobbing up and down in the marina? Fancy a nice evening meal? Check out Brixham’s many top eateries for the perfect way to end your stay!
