Brixham holidays: A great family destination
Brixham is wonderful place for the whole family, providing top days out! Children can try their hand at crabbing in the many rock pools or visit the Berry Head Country Park with its Napoleonic fort. On a clear day Berry Head offers visitors the opportunity for some great coastal walks – and the chance to spot some wildlife! Another great activity for the kids to enjoy is crabbing!
Brixham Harbour is the ideal place for this activity and the whole family can enjoy the sea views and fresh air at the same time. There are many places along with sea wall at Brixham which are ideal for the kids to drop their line over the side and attempt to catch a monster crab from the deep! Equipment and bait is sold at many shops on the sea front. Or you can simply choose to spend the day wandering around this pretty town, with its impressive harbour-fronted buildings, museums, shops, bars and restaurants.
Brixham also has a great community spirit and this friendly town certainly knows how to put on an event! The town plays host to some fantastic gatherings throughout the year, including music festivals, a trawler race and the famous Brixham Pirate Festival, the latter of which attracts thousands of people to the town each year.
